Hazel Ocskó – The Dancer.

Since graduating from a Theatre Studies honours degree at The University of Plymouth (UK), Hazel has worked in a variety of productions in her home country from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, Henry V, The Taming of the Shrew to the Rainbow Theatre’s touring production of Cinderella. She worked with Bathroom Floor Productions as the lead role of Sophie in Both Sides of the Bar at the Edinburg Fringe Festival. Her screen credits include featured roles in The Bill, Ever Faithful, Backstabber Exam and presenting for Live at 3 (Ireland). Hazel has an ISTD 3 in ballet and is excited to take on the role of The Dancer.

Benedict Kazlauskas – The Soldiers/Choreographer.

Ben was accepted into the Vienna State Opera Ballet in Austria when he was 22. He focussed strongly on this primary talent until he returned to Australia where he added acting as another layer to his skill-set. The Actors Conservatory gave him the necessary skills to enrich this new found talent. He has featured in the Australian tour of The Phantom of the Opera, Macbeth (Australian Shakespeare Company), Lady Chatterley’s Lover and soon continued the european odyssey starring in The Hunchback of Notre Dame in Berlin. Ben has taught at The Australian Ballet School and is currently teaching pilates in Melbourne. He is the writer and performer of Arthaus seen recently in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Kaska Zielinski – The Boy.

Kaska began her acting career at a very young age, and after many years of varying training and numerous theatre productions she attended the Actors Studio Australia. Since the Studio Kaska has performed lead roles in several short films and a touring production for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. She is currently in pre-production for a NSW feature film entitled, ‘Zoe.Misplaced,’ in which she will play one of three lead roles. Being firmly grounded in “truth based acting” and a thorough psychological approach, Kaska has performed many complex roles over the years such as an IRA agent, brothel madam, recovering alcoholic, diagnosed sociopath, and a heroin addict. She has also played classic roles such as Othello’s Emilia and A Midsummer Nights Dream’s Helena.

Daniel Bowden -Writer/Director/Producer.

All War is Deception is Daniel’s writing debut for the theatre. Experienced in both directing and music composition, Daniel has directed for numerous ‘artist in residence’ programs in high schools and has also written the musical score for the theatre productions Both Sides of the Bar (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and The Fellatio Monologues. Daniel may be better known for his work as a screen actor, having worked professionally from the age of 11. Daniel played Jason Taylor on Always Greener and guest starred in The Flying Doctors, Blue Heelers, Law of the Land, Raw FM and more recently Rush, Neighbours and the INXS story Never Tear Us Apart. He has also worked as a presenter and compare for Channel 9, ABC and Foxtel. Daniel’s stage credits include performing at The Fairfax Theatre for Short & Sweet and playing the lead in The New Black (Melbourne Fringe Festival). Daniel has a Diploma of Music and has studied at The Melbourne Actor’s Lab.

Juliette Hanson – Assistant Producer.

Juliette has extensive experience in arts management. Since completing the Masters of Art Curatorship course at the University of Melbourne in 2006, she has worked in a number of contemporary galleries and museums. Juliette has held the role of Exhibitions Manager at The Dax Centre for over two years, which entails the running of a busy onsite and touring (interstate and international) exhibition program.
